My kids all love the stocking caps with animal ears on them, and I love them because the kids all look so dang cute when they wear them. One of my girls loves cats, so I was thrilled to come across this adorable crocheted cat hat pattern from Persia Lou. I’ll make one for my daughter, of course, but I secretly really want one for myself! Don’t you? I even have the perfect yarn for this – a beautiful black yarn with metallic threads that I’ve been saving for just the right project. Now I know what to do with it! I love that this cat hat uses bulky yarn and has ribbing for a nice finished look. The ears are the cutest though!
For this project you’ll need a bulky black yarn – or any color you like if you don’t want black – or you can crochet two strands of regular weight yarn together at a time in place of bulky yarn. You’ll use single crochet and half double crochet stitches to complete this adorable hat.
